VLCT & RC was founded by Dr.T.Ravi Kumar, M.D.,D.C.H in 1998 as a voluntary, non-profit and social welfare organization with having a vision of providing basic necessities, developmental opportunities to the human, material resource development for children, the down trodden, the destitutes, the despondents and the unwanted. The Trust has a vision-mission over the Empowerment of the Women. To strengthen the activities, the Trust has Smt.T.Vasantha Lakshmi, as a Chairperson who is flamboyant, etiquette and oracious. And the Trust is embodied with dedicated and committed staff to its credit.

The Trust renders the service to the needy with heart-out, dedication and with disciplined mind. The Trust existence is totally depended upon Ravi Institute of Child Health (p) Ltd, whose chief consultant is none other than the founder, i.e (shri) Dr. T.Ravi Kumar, M.D.,D.C.H, and the RICH is one and the only Super Speciality Hospital in the south coastal districts and Rayalaseema regions in Andhra Pradesh.

The following activities are accomplished in this half year in various fields are:

MEDICAL & HEALTH AWARENESS CAMPS:

This activity of the Trust, like many, is a perenius process. So far, with all its ability, the Trust could conduct nearly 200 camps during these months in the villages on a par with Mandals (at times) of Penchalakona, Vaddipalem, Venkatachalam, Allu, Vidavalur, slums and tribal colonies of the town etc., with the help of RICH. At this stage, the Trust noticed the following changes :

a) people started showing keen interest in personal hygiene.

b) The dwellers of the slums and tribal areas started maintaining clean ambience.

c) The women are found with full confidence and taking an active role in building up healthy society.

d) The people, particularly the parents halted their running behind the self styled doctors and started realizing the conditions, keeping themselves away from superstitions and blind traditional beliefs etc.,

These changes intensified the Trust’s activities – to go ahead.

Taking the pathetic condition of the innocent fishermen of Venkatanarayana puram village, into consideration, the Trust established a permanent Health Care Center on 27/04/03, with the support of RICH. This RICH HCC takes care at primary level. In the cases of emergency it shift the tormented to the related hospital. One should not forget that the very fact of the immediate intervention of the Trust in all the above said activities.

The Trust to its very pride, with the help of RICH organized a ‘Free Eye Surgery Camp’ at Kalichedu and a team of specialists in Ophthalmology joined in this task, keeping their busy schedule away. Nearly 300 operations were conducted with no stone upturning. The Trust is highly greatful to those surgeons, who had rendered efficient services and to the RICH. Through this camp which was conducted on 26/07/03, almost 1500 people were benefited (this number is inclusive the operated).

When the Trust came to know the rapid spread of Brain-fever in Podalakur Mandal, it took an active role in distributing the ‘Belladona pills’, thrice, in the month of July and could prevent the same to a great extent.

As a part of bringing awareness among the people about the healthy surroundings with a healthy mind, and specially to focus its concern towards the children, the Trust organized a ‘MEGA MEDICAL CAMP’ for children at Thotapalli Gudur on17th August with the help of Dr.T.Ravi Kumar M.D.,D.C.H., paediatrician and his panel of doctors. As the Trust has already won the hearts of the people of Nellore District, it was made easy to spread camp, in the surrounding villages. Children from near about twenty villages had through to the camps on the said date. This added brighten to the camp. The doctors, after having been through the thorough check-ups distributed the medicines (at free of cost). To our dismay, the Trust came to know about few mentally retarded children, who were unnoticed till then. This very fact made the trust to stand afoot for a master action plan and its accomplished.

EARLY INTERVENTION OF MENTALLY RETARDED CHILDREN:

This is exclusively to find out the mentally retarded children, who are unnoticed, with the help of a specialist panel of Doctors and imparting them, the required treatment which includes the therapies. At the same time the Trust decided to give Home Based Training for any adult of the concerned family. Like many activities, this E I H B T is also a perinious process of the Trust. In this course of action, the Trust determined to run a special school(exclusively for the mentally retarded children). This determination came in the form of “ SAMRAKSHANA” – a school for mentally retarded children with efficient and qualified staff.

( It should be borne in the mind that all the activities of the Trust are no cost and are of follow up actions)

The Trust is marching ahead by removing the false beliefs among the unlettered with its established team (exclusively for this EI HBT). This evoked a very good response. So far, the Trust could campaign in this regard in Mandals of Sydapuram, Podalakur, Sullurpet, Doravarisataram etc.

CAPACITY BUILDING OF SHGs:

Our well wishers are aware of the Self Help Groups among the female folk is a part of women empowerment, in every village in the district, and the functioning of these groups is up to the mark ; undoubtedly the fruitful results in this activity is mirror image of the Trust’s commitment towards the women.

Finding the lack Mac in the performance of few SHGs ; the chairperson Smt.T.Vasantha Lakshmi along with the concerned staff of the Trust met those groups and through her conselling with the women, the members of SHGs of Chaganam, Venkatanarayana puram, Cheekavolu villages got reinforced and re-addicted to the task.

The Trust, through the noble and help bestowing hands of the chairperson, Smt.T.Vasantha Lakshmi , distributed the RMK loans to the above said groups during the months of May to September.

During the visits/camps, the CP got satisfied with out standing performance of these groups.

HELPLINE SERVICES:

This is yet another hectic task that the trust hugged. Ever since the inception of the Trust in 1998, the Trust never went off the track and always stood in forefront for the cause of humanity. This activity that was launched in Nellore on 19th of July is certainly going to become yet another milestone.

The very purpose behind these services is to make available of the medical treatment at the very threshold of the tormented in less time – in other words, a ready mobile hospital. These services are made available by the Trust with the sponsorship of RICH hospitals, Pogathota, Nellore, round the clock,(i.e 24x365). These services are being extended in all the directions of the district and made readily available with all medical and paramedical facilities. By a mere call, one can get these facilities at free of cost, swiftly.

HEALTH CARE FOR CHILDREN:

The Trust has undertaken the onerous task of paying a total attention towards the children while screening them Para medically, with the aegis of ICDS and the very inauguration of the same is started on 13th November,2003 at Vaikunta Puram, Nellore, on a par with the distribution and administration of Vitamin A. It is a wow that the self imposed target is to reach one and a half lakh children, throughout the district.

It must be borne in the mind that all the services of the Trust

are AT NO COST AND RETRIEVAL and the trust never feels this as a charity,

but by the very way of repaying some of the DEBT IT owes to the society.

STATEMENT SHOWING THE ACCOMPLISHED ACTIVITIES OF VASANTHA LAKSHMI CAHRITABLE TRUST AND RESEARCH CENTER, POGATHOTA, NELLORE-524001, ANDHARA PRADESH FOR THE YEAR APRIL 2002 – MARCH 2003

The Trust could accomplish the activities in social sector by organizing 271 camps in the district and in which 2,58,929 were benefited. The data is as follows :

Beneficiaries

Name of the activity Male Female Total Camps org
Health awareness 1,0372 1,3660 24,032 48
Medical camps 69,002 63,862 1,32,864 104
Screening for MRC 8,659 6,391 15,050 70

Women Empowerment :

As in the programme of women empowerment out of 49 camps; 32,946, 12,898 and 41,139 were benefited from the communities of SC,ST,BC and OC respectively and which comes to a total of number of 86,983.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT:

“HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE A WOMEN SCORNED “ -SHAKESPEARE

Though the Vedas (or any scripture) insist that the women folk must be respected and must be looked with total faithfulness in all the fields ; but the actual living picture is entirely different. A day is not completed without the news of physically or mentally tortured woman. In particularly, if turn our lens on the rural side we find a very pathetic, soul-stirring situation of women. The torture or the suffering of a woman by an inabretated male is still worse. The factors which ever they might be ; the ultimate sufferer is the woman.

As it was planned in the previous year, an action plan, by and large the Trust took a firm decision in implementing the programmes exclusively to empower the women.

At the out set, the Trust selected Ramatheertham and Krishnapatnam which are totally inhabited by the fishermen folk ; apart from its adopted slums in Nellore town, Indukur pet Mandal and the village Kalichedu – to implement various activities in that direction.

Realizing the above cited situation the chairperson, giving priority to personal (individual) health and hygiene insisted the female and made them to realize the very fact of erecting themselves firm and forever.

Smt.T.Vasantha Lakshmi, the chairperson of the Trust, once again proved her ability in inducing the minds of the women of the above said areas with the ways and means in keeping good ambience and imparted the importance of thrift on a par with providing vocational training.

To achieve the aim, the Trust selected an erudited team to impart vocational training to the said women folk. The team, is now behind them giving the training in candle making, tailoring, embroidery work etc.

After repeated counsellings by the chairperson, right from the month of March ’02; the said women folk inculcated the required qualities.

To enhance this process the Trust, organized several camps through out the district and established Self Help Groups in each and every village. The duty of these financial groups is to concentrate on the better management of the income.

A striking performance of the Trust is in providing the loans to the poor women apart from RMK and CAPART.

Now, one can find easily the faces of the above cited women folk with charm and self-confidence.

Now, any one can witness the progress very easily. The only thing one should do is to await for the Trust, headed by the Chairperson to come in any village ; no sooner do they step down, we find the jostling of women who wanted to be with the chairperson. Such was the hob-nobbling nature of the Chairperson.

VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT:

It is a known fact that 75% of population lives in rural areas i.e in the villages. At the same time the chief occupation is the Agriculture. And our Agriculture is nothing but a gambling with the monsoon. And most of the lives of these villages, on this day is in between Scylla and Charibdis. Adding fuel to fire, the percentage of literacy is considerably low. Illiteracy promote ignorance in return it results in unhealthy society.

Hence, the Trust is strongly determined to take-up the issue on war foot basis. The Trust along with the medical experts of RICH had organized several health awareness camps while distributing the prescribed medicines at free of cost throughout the district. On count, perhaps it may exceed 4000 in number.

On the other hand, the Trust proposed to impart training to the educated of the said villages, in Health Awareness and install them as Health Workers in the rural areas, inspite of the scheduled camps, this year. The Trust, also concentrated on elimination of illiteracy. Presently a few mandals are selected for this Programme. These mandals are Indukurpet, Kalichedu, Vidavalur, Allur etc.

This activity, enhanced the glory as well as the responsibility of the Trust. This Trust strongly believes that, unless the villages are strengthened, the Nation can not be strengthened, in all fronts.

In the case of the village Kalichedu, the established Health Care Centre (in 2001), the Trust took further steps to enhance the services by adding few more sophisticated equipments, with the help of RICH hospitals. So that, the surrounding villages too, may avail free and immediate medical services.

Apart from these, the Trust appointed four teams on mobile with necessary kits, and scheduled the camps through out the year, with all nurture.

VACCINATION:

It is an inclination of the Trust’s commitment and prestige. As it was already reported that the Trust, while purchasing the vaccines for JE, Measles, Jaundice from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, started administering them, ever since 27/8/2000.

The same programme has been extended during this year also.

In the months August to October the Trust administered the vaccines for JE, Hepatitis-B, Measles etc. at Buchireddy palem mandal, Allur mandal etc. The welfare of any society is entirely depended upon the welfare of the children. Healthy child makes a healthy ambience (with a healthy mind). This was the intention behind this Programme.

PAEDIATRIC SUPER SPECIALITY CAMPS:

As above cited, the Trust with its keen interest in the child health, organized the super speciality camps at Indukurpet(m), Allur (m) and Atmakur mandals with the specialists in various branches in paediatrics with help of RICH. Fortunately, these specialists too had a verve in serving the poor. MAY THEY BE BLESSED ETERNALLY ALSO !

This camp involved in total health check ups and the follow-up treatment.

Like wise, the Trust also conducted “super speciality clinic in Pulmonology”, obviously with the with the help of RICH, in the month of February. One should make a note that the availability of the specialists in the said branch, is absent, in Nellore. Hence, the Trust gave priority, and nearly 2000 children were benefited out of this programme. In the same way, the Trust organized a MEGA MEDICAL CAMP at Krishnapatnam and Gollapalem at no cost.

The Trust will be failing its duties if it does not extend its unfeigned thanks to the RICH and the specialists, for the cooperation and in rendering the heart out services on par with it.

ANIMAL WELFARE AWARENESS CAMP:

Live stock is as important as others in contributing to enhance the GDP of any Nation. We, the Indians are fortunate enough in this regard. But, the stone that turns the tables is nothing but ignoring them.

In order to erase the disbeliefs and unnecessary fears in the human at animals, the Trust organized this camp at Indukurpet and some other mandals.

Out of 22 camps that were conducted this year ; 654, 464, 4769, 6464 and 8603 of dogs, cats, Buffaloes, sheep and goats were vaccinated respectively in different villages. Sterilization to the stray dogs was also conducted with the help of RICH hospital, Nellore. And the rearers were assured of supplying the fodder and the necessary equipment to reconstruct their sheds for the cattle.

During these camps, the efficacious chairperson, Smt.T.Vasantha Lakshmi, pleaded the people to show mercy on the fellow creatures, as mercy is twice blessed. In her speeches, she emphasized the need of live stock and the care that has to be taken. Like in many activities of the Trust, this also yielded.

CAMP FOR EDUCATING THE PARENTS:

In order to bring-out the awareness in the health, education towards their wards, the Trust had organized this programme in Nellore. Apart from the founder and the chairperson, many distinguished child psychologists stressed the need to trust the child, to inculcate healthy habits. And also the meeting suggested the parents, who/were attended to identify the skills of their children and asked them to promote the child in the same field. The camp also focused on the problems of the

adolescents and adviced the parents to behave friendly with them. In short, the purpose behind this programme (biblically to say):

Train-up a child

In the way he/she should go

When he is old

He should not depart from it

HIGH-WAY AMBULANCE:

Shook by the soul-stirring accidents and the pathetic situation of the victims, the Trust decided to provide an ambulance in such cases.

Hence, Smt.T.Vasantha Lakshmi, the chairperson had donated “HIGHWAYAMBULANCE” (for NH-5) to the Dept of Police on October 8,’02.

The Trust, with a panel of expert medical staff could acknowledge the tormented, who were brought to the hospital. Nearly 35 lives were saved so far.

AWARD:

Most of the young in their thirties used to embezzle or may be looking after their welfare. But, Smt.T.Vasantha Lakshmi, is dedicated herself to the cause of humanity and the chronicles testify it.

She was selected for one among the top ten young Indians Award for her out standing performance in the humanitarian approach to the fellow beings- the process of selection is scrutinizing the best from all the chapters, through out India.

The presentation ceremony was held on 28th Dec.2002 at Nagpur.

This young lady, with a serving smile received the award in that sterling show.

It must be borne in the mind that all the services of the Trust are at

NO COST AND RETRIEVAL

STATEMENT SHOWING THE ACCOMPLISHED ACTIVITIES OF VASANTHA LAKSHMI CAHRITABLE TRUST AND RESEARCH CENTER, POGATHOTA, NELLORE-524001, ANDHARA PRADESH FOR THE YEAR APRIL 2001 – MARCH 2002

The Trust could accomplish the activities in social sector by organizing 144 camps in the district in which 1,43,010 were benefited. The data is as follows :

Beneficiaries:

Name of the activity Male Female Total Camps org
Health awareness 7,936 8,452 16,388 34
Medical camps 24,752 25,120 49,872 36
Screening for MRC 4,069 2,897 6,966 43

Women Empowerment:

As in the programme of women empowerment, out of 31 camps ; 23,762, 8,432 and 37,590 were benefited from the communities of SC, ST and BC/OC respectively which comes to a total number of 69,784.

The following activities are accomplished in this year in various fields are:

VACCINATION:

As it is a known factor that the Trust administered vaccinations with the help of RICH Hospitals, Nellore, by purchasing them from the Govt. of A.P. ; telling about this particular activity, like many others is just nothing, but, a concave exposure. In continuance of the last year’s (2000-2001), the Trust, while recognizing the dire need, of vaccination administered the third dose against Japanese Encephalitis at its premises by gathering the children. And also the Trust, after having been thoroughly surveyed found that the people of Mandal Allur were badly affected by drinking the contaminated water and ultimately started piling up the cases of Jaundice.

Hence, the Trust decided to take-up the administering Hepatitis-B vaccine, which is beyond the economical ability of a common man, in the months of June ’01 and August ’01.

No need to say that, this gesture filled and suffused the Trust, for its commitment towards the needy, with more dedication.

DISTRIBUTION OF GAMBUSIA:

It was already stated that the route cause for many ailments is Mosquito and its multiplication. With the effective speeches, the chairperson, Smt.T.Vasantha Lakshmi, induced the importance of clean and healthy ambience of each individual in the society. For this spreading (or to spread this message) she, along with her dedicated staff under went in conducting near about two hundred camps. Though it is a very difficult process/task to reach the remote hamlets of the district, where the roads are not worn, the Trust with its affinity could successfully brought out the results and also it distributed the cultured GAMBUSIA (in its ponds in Padugupadu, Kovur Mandal and in Indukur pet Mandal) among the affected areas. So that this Biological weapon, Gambusia fish, can destroy the mosquito multiplication, right from the larvae itself.

This will be an unending process till the Trust witness a healthy ambience.

VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT:

In its usual scour for the poor and the needy, the Trust viewed with its eagle’s eye, the village KALICHEDU, which is also the HQs of the Mandal, in the month of May, 2002.

The pathetic condition of the villagers is being stream-lined. The villages dwell in a very poor and unhygienic surroundings. Adding fuel to the fire, most of the men in the village are addicted towards drinking. The absence of pure drinking water, proper drainage system, may be found easily. Apart from those, most of the villagers are illiterates and ignorants. This is the scenario of the village, KALICHEDU, which has a very good historical heritage.

Amidst the above cited problems, the Trust stood afoot in developing the village in all fronts.

As a first step, the flamboyant chairperson, Smt.T.Vasantha Lakshmi, with her staff started ‘COUNSELLING’ the villagers excruciatingly. She emphasized the need of adapting healthy habits, yet times, she practically exhibited and cautioned the men about the foraging future if they drink.

Ipso-facto, we may say that the Trust almost adopted the village.

To enhance and inculcate the disciplinary mind, at a stage, the Trust motivated the people spirituality also.

The Trust installed a Health Care Centre with sufficient staff and equipment with the help of RICH, which is the back-bone of the Trust (apart from the discipline and the dedication), permanently.

Since then onwards, the Trust imposed it self to visit the village by a section of staff every alternate day to bring out required changes. By the time this report is being prepared the Trust could convincingly aheading in the progress with all efficacy.

HEALTH AWARENESS CAMPS AT CYCLONE PRONE AREAS:

“For we, are the sons of the sea and sky ........” so

says Sarojini Naidu in her “Golden Threshold”, about the fishermen, and about their courage and simplicity in living without any inhibitions. It is very simple to imagine what would happen to those fishermen in times of cyclone hits. Their life will be like a tossing raft in the raising waves.

Normally, fishermen and the tribes used to be unconnected with the common social on lines. Basically it’s clear like crystal that these folks are too innocent to look after their own welfare.

Hence, the Trust decided to campaigning at the villages like Krishnapatnam, Ramatheertham which are totally inhabited by the fishermen folk, along with a medical team of specialists of RICH.

The undoubtful efficacy of the chairperson and the dedication of the team of the Trust on a par with the efficacy of the medical and paramedical staff of RICH could explain safety measures and the usage of Megaphones etc., to shield themselves, when a cyclone hits.

The Trust distributed few Megaphone sets and Radio sets. The medical staff has rendered their duty and the prescribed medicines were distributed, at no cost.

The Trust assured them that it is behind them and pleaded them to call-upon in upliftment of the community in due course of time.

AIDS AWARENESS RALLY:

We do know that, if any one is deficient of immunity, severely, we may understand that he/she is tormented of AIDS. It is caused by a retro-virus, known as HIV, leaving the victim vulnerable to a host of life threatening infections.

In the District, Atmakur Mandal is registered second place of AIDS victims.

Hence, the Trust, seeking the help of medical experts of RICH and its allied, organized a rally in Atmakur to alarm the people against this disease.

The suave founder of the Trust and chiefconsultant of RICH, Dr.T.Ravi Kumar, M.D.,D.C.H., in a convincing manner delivered his speech at the end of the rally. He insisted the married men to be faithful to their spouse and cautioned the adolescents of the danger and the spread of AIDS, and suggested them not to be easy cake to the lucrative world. Finally he emphasized the urgent need of arresting this very dreadful disease.

ADOPTION OF SLUMS:

No, need to recollect that the inception of the Trust is spronted from the strong affinity to serve the needy of Smt.&( Sri) Dr.T.Ravi Kumar.M.D.,D.C.H., paediatrician, Pogathota, Nellore. The Trust always watches voraciously for the needy. As a part of it, the Trust embraced the slums in and around of the cosmopolitan town, Nellore, where we find abundant stuff of destitutes, despondents, down trodden etc.

The prima-facie task was that the Trust had to hammer and tongs to instill and the people were soothed by all means. In the month of March 2002, the Trust adopted the following slums :

The fundamental duty of the Trust was that to make the dwellers to know the importance of healthy and hygienic ambience. To that direction, the Trust nurtured.

The ‘uniquivocal counsellings’ of the aplombic chairperson Smt.T.Vasantha Lakshmi, and her overtures brought a considerable change in the dwellers. Slowly, but surely the day is very near that these slums will be in no more unhealthy and unhygienic ambience.

AWARDS:

An award may inspire, but is not an yard-stick to measure the qualities so says the chairperson. The aplombic chairperson of the Trust, Smt.T.Vasantha Laksmi, was conferred upon ‘THE PRIYADARSHINI AWARD” for her meticulous services rendered to humanity. The presentation ceremony was a sterling show in [BERHAMPUR] on 22nd November, ’02. This award too, adds to the prestige of the Trust.

It must be borne in the mind that all the services of the Trust are at

NO COST AND RETRIEVAL

“IF WE LOVE AND CARE HUMANITY,

CERTAINLY WE CAN EXPERIENCE

THE GOD ! SO, LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR !”

HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAMMES:

Apart from the regular and scheduled health camps every day, the Trust identified the Mandals of Indukurpet, Thotapalli Gudur and Gandavaram are lacking with medical facilities. Hence, by and large, the Trust with the help of RICH organized special health awareness camps and distributed the required medicines and extended the services by counseling the people in the cited mandals.

To its pride, the Trust purchased vaccines from the State Govt. and administered them in the slums, where the disease Japanese Encephalitis was at its crux. (The first and the second doses) in the months of August and September, respectively.

Finding that the Mosquito bite is the route cause for all the ailments, the Trust implemented Mosquito Eradication Programme, in a very natural way. The GAMBUSIA FISH, which can be used as a Biological-Weapon without causing any damage to the environment, is cultured in our own ponds in Padugupadu, in Kovur Mandal and Indukurpet mandal to eradicate the mosquito problem. These developed Gambusia fish, is being supplied for no cost, in the mosquito affected areas through out the district, such that they will be dropped in the sewage or drainage ponds. And the result is that the Trust could control the multiplication of mosquitoes. This programme is launched on 06/09/01.

CYCLONE RESCUE MISSION:

When the district was tossed and affected by the cyclone in the month of October, 2001 and the mandal Gudur was witnessed a heavy damage to man and material; the Trust, practically showed its affinity in serving the shelter-less by providing temporary shelters, anti-viral medicines, and extended all kinds of support in the re-construction of the Mandal. This camp was conducted until the rehabilitation completed. Thus, the Trust stood in the forefront in times needed, and could enhance the moral confidence and courage in the people of Gudur Mandal. In this case the Trust extends heart-filled thanks to all the concerned departments of the Govt of A.P in general, and to the Dept of Fisheries in particular.

MEDICAL CAMP FOR NEUROLOGY:

The Trust, with the help of the super specialists in Neurology, conducted a free camp on March 11, 2002. In fact this camp was opened to all and at the same time it extended a special treatment to those who were identified as the sufferers of Neurological disorders, malfunctioning (such as of CNS etc.,) in our regular HAP in different areas of the district. Through this camp, at least 500 to 600 patients might have benefited. The Trust thanks the super specialists who attended on this camp by a mere request and to Medical, Para-medical and non medical staff of RICH Hospital, Nellore.

EARLY INTERVENTION OF MENALLY RETARDED CHILDREN AND HOME BASED TRAINING:

During the above said camp, the Trust came to know that few children were mentally retarded, but, unnoticed by the parents. In fact , it’s a bolt from the blue. Once again, the Trust understood the impact and started organizing camps in the rural areas of Nellore. For this purpose the Trust appointed a team of experts in the said field. This team, apart from medical services, started imparting the training to any adult(who is capable enough to receive it) of such child’s family in physiotherapy, speech therapy, etc. this home based training eases the task and a speedy recovery can be seen. The Trust feels proud to take up the task with the help of RICH.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT:

The chairperson, Smt.T.Vasantha Lakshmi, who is much aware of the pathetic conditions (right from the womb to the tomb) of women ; instead of lengthy sermonizing, took-up this task and wanted to see the female to stand erect firmly and forever. Hence, the Trust decided and established Self Help Groups in almost all the villages and started extending the cooperation to these SHGs by ll means viz. financial, vocational training, better management of the income, marketing facilities etc. Though this is the first step, but, for many miles to go. The ultimate aim of the Trust in this regard is to see the bright cheer filled with self-confidence on the faces of the women.

It must be borne in the mind that all the services of the Trust are at NO COST AND RETRIEVAL.
